In a time when most 18-year-olds are still discovering their passions, Abhilash Jha, a Journalism and Mass Communication student at Presidency University, Bengaluru, is already making bold strides in the Indian sports media landscape. Fuelled by his love for sports and a strong belief in their cultural significance, Abhilash is on a mission to revolutionize how sports are consumed by the next generation.

At the heart of this mission lies Statify Sports Network, a groundbreaking platform founded by Abhilash that merges artificial intelligence, dynamic animations, and technology to deliver innovative, engaging, and interactive sports content. Statify isn’t just another sports media outlet—it’s a digital ecosystem built specifically for Gen Z and Gen Alpha, two audiences known for their demand for fast, interactive, and visually rich content.

“I wanted to build a platform where sports are not just reported—they’re experienced,” says Abhilash. “Statify is all about using technology to create content that resonates with the younger generation while still remaining rooted in the spirit of Indian sports.”

Through Statify, Abhilash has created a space that caters to fans of not just cricket—the most popular sport in India—but also Olympic disciplines and emerging sports. The goal is clear: broaden the sports horizon for India’s youth and inspire them to develop a real connection with athleticism and sporting excellence, right from an early age.

But Abhilash’s contribution to sports storytelling doesn’t stop there. He also founded Bharat on Field, a separate initiative aimed at highlighting the journeys and achievements of Indian athletes across all levels. Whether it’s a national champion or a grassroots-level athlete, Bharat on Field gives them a voice and the recognition they deserve.

“India is brimming with sports talent, but we don’t hear enough of their stories. Bharat on Field is my way of bringing those untold stories to the forefront,” Abhilash explains.

A former cricketer himself, Abhilash brings the values of teamwork, dedication, and discipline to everything he undertakes. His experience on the field has helped him understand the nuances of athlete psychology, the importance of sportsmanship, and the value of community—all of which reflect in his leadership style and content strategy.

Driven by his desire to move India away from passive entertainment and toward active sports engagement, Abhilash is working to create a cultural shift. He strongly believes that when children and teenagers are exposed to the spirit of sports early on, it not only improves their physical health but also nurtures mental strength and social cohesion.

His long-term vision is ambitious yet rooted in purpose: to see India rise as a global sports powerhouse. Through Statify and Bharat on Field, Abhilash hopes to build a sports culture that inspires millions and nurtures future champions.

At just 18, Abhilash Jha is not only building a company—he’s building a movement. One that challenges outdated media formats, celebrates real talent, and inspires the next generation to dream bigger through the transformative power of sports.

And for a country as young and dynamic as India, that’s exactly the kind of leadership it needs.
